We custom fabricate all splints as recommended by your doctor or therapist. On-Site Workplace Assessments
As Occupational Therapists our team is available to assess a client’s employment workplace. We focus on the physical demands required to perform specific job tasks. As an on-site workplace assessor, the Hand + Physical Therapy occupational therapist will analyze functional job components and determine the required physical demand levels including strength, range of motion, force, and frequency to perform the necessary tasks.

Ergonomic Evaluations
Our team of Occupational Therapists can conduct individual and/or group workplace ergonomic assessments (both in-person and via telehealth) to evaluate specific job tasks. This is especially important as it relates to a worker’s current physical status in the presence (or absence) of an injury, as well as positional status. The goal of the evaluation is to educate the client and worker on the essentials of proper ergonomic setup and proper body mechanics. Your Hand + Physical Therapy evaluator will provide immediate feedback and corrections during the assessment, and if necessary, a list of items to purchase to prevent (or recover) from injury or pain from overuse. Additionally, H+PTNYC can provide a written recommendation of any necessities to the employer on behalf of the patient.
